King meets president of Kazakhstan

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, discussed bilateral ties and the latest regional developments with President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, in New York on Tuesday.

Discussions at the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 74th General Assembly of the United Nations, highlighted the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation over issues of mutual concern.

King Abdullah commended Kazakhstan's role in hosting the Astana talks, which aim to create suitable conditions for a political solution to the Syrian crisis.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Khasawneh attended the meeting.
