King, accompanied by Crown Prince, attends ceremony marking 51st anniversary of Karamah Battle Karamah

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Thursday attended the JAF ceremony marking the 51st anniversary of the Karamah Battle, held in the Jordan Valley town of Karamah.

King Abdullah was received with a 21-gun salute.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat and a number of senior officers received His Majesty at the site of the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the King and Crown Prince Al Hussein also greeted royal family members, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz, a number of senior officials, and heads of security agencies.

His Majesty laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Monument.
