King meets defence ministers of Indonesia, Greece and heads of delegations at SOFEX

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Tuesday met with Indonesian Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu, on the sidelines of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition SOFEX 2018.

King Abdullah also met with Greek Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos.

Discussions at the separate meetings covered bilateral ties and means to bolster military and defence cooperation, touching also on regional and international efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach.

His Majesty also held meetings, partly attended by Crown Prince Al Hussein and His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, with military and defence leaders from Germany, the United States, and Indonesia, as well as CEOs of a number of major defence and military industries companies.

Discussions at the meetings covered the opportunities offered by SOFEX, which is aimed at building military and economic partnerships among countries and exchanging expertise and technologies.

The officials and senior executives praised the professionalism and advanced level of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, stressing the importance of SOFEX for expertise exchange.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, and Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas attended the meetings.
